Authorisation PIN Code
Control access to specific call types such as international calls with a PIN code
Authorisation PIN code requires users to enter a numeric PIN before an outbound call is connected. Then enables account owners to control access and costs.
How Authorisation Pin Code Works
-
User dials an outbound number
-
The Platform checks whether the dialled number falls within a call class that requires authorisation
-
If authorisation is required the platform intercepts the call before it reaches the carrier
-
User hears the authorisation prompt asking them to enter their PIN
-
User enters their PIN via the keypad
-
Platform validates the PIN against the authorised list
-
If the PIN is valid — call proceeds and connects to the destination
-
If the PIN is invalid — user is prompted to try again or the call is rejected after 3 attempts
