Caller ID and Privacy - Outbound Calls
Control what number is displayed to the recipient when an outbound call is made
Feature options include
- Block caller ID
- Presentation of another number on the account
- Presentation of a verified off-net number
- Default presentation is the line number
Portal Settings
Caller ID Blocking Settings
Enable persistent call privacy by hiding your caller ID when making outbound calls?: Tick to always block caller ID on outbound calls.
You may block your caller ID on an individual call by dialling *67 before the number. Do you require confirmation before the call?: Dialling *67 before the number you wish to call hides your caller ID for that call. Tick "Require confirmation" to be prompted before the call proceeds. By default the call connects without confirmation.
You may allow your caller ID on an individual call by dialling *65 before the number. Do you require confirmation before the call? Dialling *65 before the number you wish to call restores your caller ID for that call when Enable persistent call privacy by hiding your caller ID when making outbound calls is selected . Tick "Require confirmation" to be prompted before the call proceeds. By default the call connects without confirmation.
Caller ID Settings
Select the type of Caller ID you wish to present on outbound calls:
A different outbound caller ID can be set for a line as long as the number is on the same account or verified.
Present a phone number from your account: Select the alternate phone number from the account list
Present a verified non-account phone number: Select the alternate phone number from the verified number list
Enable CLI passthrough (Recommended): Tick to enable. When enabled, the original caller ID is preserved on diverted or forwarded calls, overriding any caller ID preferences set on this page.
Account phone number selection: Select the phone number to be presented and the line caller ID from the account list
Verified non-account number selection: Select the phone number to be presented and the line caller ID from the verified number list
(Add non-account number): Click to use the portal to verify a non account number. You will need to:
- Enter the number you wish to register with 2talk as a trusted CLI number
- Click on the Verify button and 2talk will make a call immediately out to the number specified
- Answer the call and when prompted enter the 8 digit verification PIN code number which should be displayed in a pop-up window in the portal
