How to migrate to Lyra

All end-user devices (phones or PBX) must be reconfigured to the new SIP proxy: lyra.2talk.co.nz

Before migrating, ensure you have a plan to update all required devices once your account has switched. Migration should not be started without this.

Check eligibility

  1. Log in to your 2talk retail account.

  2. Select Cloud PBX.

  3. Open the Migrate Voice Platform tab from the left-hand menu.

If your account is eligible

  1. Select Lyra from the Voice Platform drop-down.

  2. Click the green Set button to begin migration.

All of the numbers on the account will be migrated once this is actioned.  Please do not migrate the account if you do not want the whole account to be moved.

Once your account is Migrated

  1. Update your SIP device(s) to to the Lyra SIP proxy: lyra.2talk.co.nz

Things to Know

Migrating from 2talk Plus to Lyra introduces some behaviour changes.

Shared Line Appearance (SLA)

  • The “-x” suffix is no longer required on additional device registrations.

  • SLA limit increases from 6 to 10 devices per number.

  • All registered devices can make and receive calls on that number.

Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)

  • Devices must explicitly subscribe to MWI.

  • This is configured on the device itself.

SIP Proxy and Media

  • Devices must be configured to register or peer with the lyra.2talk.co.nz proxy address
  • If firewalls are in place, allow:

    SIP Signaling From
    IP: 27.111.14.99
    UDP and TCP ports: 5060,5061

    RTP/Media Range From
    IP: 27.111.14.0/24
    UDP ports: 20000–50000

Voice Connections

  • SIP Trunks (Register, Peer) must be managed through the Voice Connections module

  • Using legacy settings pages will not work

Reception Console

  • Reception Console is not supported on the Lyra Platform.

Presence

  • Lyra supports BLF subscription, event type "dialog", that is commonly used on IP phones.

  • Lyra does not currently support presence subscription, event type "presence", that is more commonly used on soft clients.
