Voicemail on your 2talk Mobile

Here's what you need to know to set up and manage your 2talk Mobile Voicemail.

Voicemail costs

Voicemail is free on 2talk mobile plans.

Mobile calling rates will apply if you're using a landline or calling from another mobile network (if calling from another phone you’ll have to enter your Voicemail PIN to enter).

Your Voicemail account will be deactivated after 60 days of inactivity (i.e. where no messages are deposited or retrieved).

Using Voicemail when overseas

There are additional charges to you when receiving calls while you’re overseas as well as international roaming charges applied when you check your messages.  Please check roaming charges for full details on the costs.

To access Voicemail on your mobile

  • Call 202 from your 2degrees mobile in New Zealand for free
  • Call +64 22 202 2001 if you’re calling from overseas or from a landline or a mobile that isn’t connected to the 2degrees network.

Listen to messages menu

To listen to your messages, press 1 from the main menu. You can then select the following options:

  • Replay the message, press 2
  • Listen to the next message, press 3
  • Save the message, press 4
  • Delete the message, press 5
  • Return to the last menu, press *

Manage Greetings menu

To manage your Greetings, press 2 from the main menu. You can then select the following options:

  • Record personal greeting, press 1
  • To choose your standard greeting, press 2
  • To choose your standard greeting with your name, press 3
  • To switch do not leave message on/off, press 4

Manage your PIN menu

To manage your PIN, press 3 from the main menu. You can then select the following options:

  • Change your Voicemail PIN, press 1
  • Return to the last menu, press *

Voicemail Rules You Should Know

Messages:

  • Maximum length of an incoming message is 60 seconds

Greetings:

  • Maximum number of voicemail greetings that can be stored is 3
  • Maximum length of a voicemail greeting is 30 seconds for a personal greeting 10 seconds for a recorded name

Voicemail Capacity:

  • Total messages you can have stored is 20

Storage Time:

  • Un-played and unretrieved messages will be stored for 21 days
  • Played and saved messages will be stored for 21 days
  • Played and unsaved messages will be stored for 4 days

Inactivity:

  • Voicemail will be deactivated if not accessed for 60 days and any messages saved/unsaved will be lost
