Voicemail Transcription
Voicemail transcription lets you read a message at a glance instead of listening to it, useful when you're in a meeting, driving, or somewhere you can't play audio. It also makes it easier to search, forward, or action a voicemail without replaying it.
How it works
When a caller leaves a voicemail, 2talk transcribes the first minute of the message. If you have email or SMS voicemail notifications turned on, the transcription is included with that notification.
If you manage voicemails through the portal rather than notifications, the transcript is also available on the Messages page, so you can see what a message is about before deciding whether to listen to it or action it.
Cost
Voicemail transcription is charged at 10c + GST per transcription.
Turning on transcription and notifications
Voicemail transcription is off by default. Transcription and notification settings are both managed in the Cloud PBX module, under Inbound Calls > Voicemail Service.
Email and SMS notifications can be turned on independently of transcription, transcription simply adds the transcript to whichever notifications you already have enabled.
